Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications across frontend, backend, and database layers. You will build RESTful microservices with Java/Spring Boot, and create modern UIs using React/Redux, while leveraging GCP and Terraform for cloud-native solutions.

You will join Enterprise Technology and collaborate across teams to drive architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and deliver incremental features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of progressive enterprise-level software development experience in Java, SpringBoot, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing/implementing large-scale distributed systems and RESTful services with full-stack React/Redux/Java/Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications (frontend, backend, database).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and consume RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop modern, responsive front-end apps using React/Redux or Angular, HTML, CSS.
• Work with cloud-native architectures on GCP.
• Leverage GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Logging, Memory Store, Cloud Functions).
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions and ship new features.
• Perform TDD/BDD, regression and performance testing.
• Implement UI and end-to-end tests with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Optimize performance including JVM tuning and profiling.
• Ensure code quality via reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers to break features into incremental stories.
• Execute API load and performance testing.
• Use DevOps tools (Tekton, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fossa, GitHub) for deployment and maintenance.
