Metropolitan Companies is seeking a Software Developer to build scalable backend services and intuitive web applications. You will collaborate with a modern tech team, report to the Director of IT, and work on deployments across multiple teams. Experience in Java, cloud services, and mobile/web development is preferred.

This is an in-office role in the United States with no relocation or visa sponsorship. Expect involvement in CI/CD, documentation, and cross-team collaboration to deliver robust

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, HTML5, or similar languages.
• Experience with mobile app development (Android/iOS) preferred.
• Experience with React, Spring Boot, CSS3, JavaScript, Swift, JSON, Objective-C.
• Experience with Maven.
• Frontend development with TypeScript and Next.js.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Experience with Node.js and npm.
• Familiarity with environment variable management (e.g., .env or Doppler).
• Database experience with MS SQL Server or MySQL.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Prior construction industry experience is a major plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain scalable backend and frontend applications
• Support and enhance existing systems and in-progress builds
• Create monitoring and automation tools for deployments and system health
• Build and document APIs and integration layers
• Interface with analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand business needs
• Collaborate in design/code reviews and advocate for clean, testable code
• Document technical processes and support deployment procedures
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements
• Provide occasional cross-team technical support
• Keep up with modern development best practices and toolsets
