Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and maintain full‑stack applications using Java, .NET, and modern front‑end tech.

You will work through the SDLC in an Agile environment and collaborate with UX and product teams to deliver enterprise solutions. Responsibilities include writing RESTful APIs, developing microservices, mentoring junior staff, ensuring automated tests, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java, J2EE, C#, .Net, JavaScript.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and .Net Core.
• Experience with RESTful services and microservices.
• Experience with React or Angular; cloud (AWS or Azure) a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in Test-Driven Development, unit tests, and scenario tests.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides full stack design and development across Java/.NET and front-end tech.
• Develops front-end apps with React/Angular/Node.js in collaboration with UX.
• Designs RESTful APIs and microservices for front-end and partner use.
• Creates data models and schemas for persistence in databases.
• Participates in design meetings and analyzes user needs.
• Writes technical specs based on business requirements.
• Develops and reviews automated tests (unit, component, scenario).
• Produces installation and maintenance documentation.
• May mentor junior developers.
• Keeps current on web development industry standards.
