Job summary

Forescout in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop, secure, and scale backend and frontend software for regulated U.S. federal environments.

You will design and implement complex systems, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions in a collaborative, DevOps‑driven team. The role requires U.S. citizenship and strong cloud and containerization knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience writing code in Java for backend development.
• 2+ years of experience with React, Node.js, or TypeScript front-end technologies.
• 2+ years of developing and integrating with Azure services.

Responsibilities

• This role supports the development, operation, security, or compliance of systems in regulated U.S. federal environments.
• Lead the design and development of complex software systems and features.
• Write, review, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of the codebase.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficiency of solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve products and processes.
