Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect seamless, mission-critical applications spanning polished front-ends and high-performance backends. You will influence UI, data, and logic across teams in a healthcare environment.

The role requires 7+ years of full stack experience, expertise in modern front-end frameworks, RESTful APIs, cloud-native development, and collaboration with product, design, QA, security, and platform groups.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in full stack development.
• BA/BS or equivalent IT experience.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar) and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful integrations.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar).
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare) preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards or Epic preferred.
