Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer in Raleigh, NC.

You will design, develop, and maintain secure backend systems, build RESTful APIs and microservices, and collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to turn business requirements into scalable technical solutions. You will work with front-end frameworks (VueJS/Angular/React) and back-end C#/.NET Core, focusing on scalable architectures, data modeling for AI, and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing web applications.
• Experience as a full stack engineer with front-end (VueJS/Angular/React) and back-end (C#, .Net Core).
• Strong back-end design, RESTful APIs, and scalable systems.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, SQL/MSSQL, and Azure storage tables.
• Experience securing web apps using tokens and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with software architecture design and optimization.
• Ability to model data for long-term AI data collection.
• Familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking.
• Medical device experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems for enterprise healthcare apps.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using C# and .NET.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Develop high-quality, testable software meeting regulatory and compliance needs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and software demonstrations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Conduct code reviews, document technical details, and drive quality and performance.
• Implement automated testing and pursue continuous improvement with emerging web tech.
