Job summary

Tarteel is seeking a senior full-stack developer to design, build, and maintain public and internal web applications using JavaScript, Python, and SQL. You will work across React, NextJS, Django, and SQL-based backends, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features.

The role requires 5+ years in full-stack development, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. This is a fully remote position, with a schedule centered on Eastern time for meetings, and you will

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development
• Proficiency in JavaScript, with relevant experience using React
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with SQL
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Solid knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools and processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Availability for meetings from Monday to Thursday between 8am and 12pm Eastern

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain public and internal web and backend applications using JavaScript, Python, and SQL along with frameworks such as React, NextJS, TanStack, NodeJS, and Django
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices
• Proactively identify and drive changes as needed across all product areas
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Participate in code and design reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and product quality
• Provide strategic insight and technical guidance on how to architect our code base to support our user base as we scale product features
