Nayya is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Northstar product team, building full‑stack features from Rails/Python/TypeScript services to React front ends.

You will own services end‑to‑end, design data models for financial planning and adviser‑client relationships, and help shape architecture while prioritizing security and privacy.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years of professional experience and comfort with Postgres, AWS, Datadog, and production ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full‑stack development.
• Strong production experience with Rails, React, Python and TypeScript.
• Comfort with PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Experience owning services in production, including monitoring and incident response.
• Ability to translate requirements into production software and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of security considerations in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build and own full‑stack features across the Northstar product from backend services to React front ends.
• Identify architecture changes and evaluate new technologies for the system.
• Design data models and workflows supporting financial planning and adviser‑client relationships.
• Proactively address technical debt and improve team coding practices.
• Collaborate with advisers and product teams to translate real workflows into software.
• Ensure code reviews address security concerns and align with privacy standards.
• Own services end‑to‑end including deployment, monitoring, and on‑call.
