Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a full-stack engineer to shape the future of physical AI by building tools to develop, train, and validate autonomous systems. You will work across TypeScript and React applications, backend services, APIs, and Python data workflows, with an emphasis on extensibility and reuse.

You will own features from user needs through implementation, deployment, and support, collaborating with Hivemind Pilot developers and domain experts while deploying containerized services in

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and supporting production applications with both frontend and backend.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React, including component design and API integration.
• Experience building backend services in Go, Python, or similar languages, including API design and error handling.
• Experience with databases and data models, including persistence and schema changes.
• Ability to reason about service interactions, authentication, authorization, and failures across boundaries.
• Familiarity with containers, CI/CD, and deploying and debugging services in shared environments.
• Clear communication and ability to work with users to move from ambiguous problems to supported solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build complete features across React interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data storage.
• Translate complex workflows into intuitive applications with clear progress and failure investigation paths.
• Design and evolve APIs and data models to support applications, automation, and integrations.
• Contribute to platform/application architecture through requirements or direct contribution.
• Ensure software runs in diverse environments from local workstations to Kubernetes clusters.
