Rhombus Power, Inc. in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Software Engineer to design and implement the product's backend and frontend components, collaborating across disciplines to turn requirements into robust software.

You will work with React on the front end and Node.js on the back end, lead code reviews, define SDLC standards, and ensure automated testing and CI/CD. A strong academic background and 5+ years in full-stack development are ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development focusing on React and Node.js.
• Strong system design skills for scalable, high-performance software.
• Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, relational design, and data modeling.
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, Git, SVN, Linux CLI.
• Experience with MVC design patterns, preferably CodeIgniter.
• Awareness of product constraints, scalability, and security principles.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of backend systems and translate requirements into high-performance software.
• Lead code reviews, write and guide documentation, and improve team productivity.
• Define SDLC standards and promote efficient development practices.
• Design frontend components using React for a seamless web experience.
• Develop backend components using Node.js with scalable, efficient code.
• Collaborate with UX/UI to deliver user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile apps.
• Write clean, maintainable code and adopt modern software development practices.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
