Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to maintain an existing product, onboard clients, and drive robust software solutions that unify ELT/ETL pipelines with client-facing web experiences.

You will collaborate with product managers, design data engineering systems, and contribute to documentation and best practices across the team. Strong Cloud and DevOps experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or C# and strong OOP skills.
• Solid understanding of data structures and design patterns.
• Experience with software testing (unit/integration/functional).
• Experience building and deploying containerized applications.
• Frontend experience with React, Angular or Vue.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain existing software products and onboard new clients.
• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of robust software solutions.
• Lead data engineering efforts for data vending and usage across the org.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business goals into technical requirements.
• Research and write documentation including designs, evaluation plans, and reports.
• Mentor teammates and share expertise.
• Advance software and product engineering best practices, including quality, security, deployment, and performance.
