Job summary

The Chicago Blackhawks are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, autonomous team at the United Center in Chicago. You will own end-to-end web applications, data pipelines, and services powering sales, marketing, and operations.

You’ll work across front-end, back-end, and data layers, collaborating with teams to build scalable solutions, while guiding standards and architecture. This role requires a hands-on engineer with startup mentality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency across front-end and back-end in production environments.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one back-end language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and cloud data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain front-end interfaces and back-end services for internal and fan-facing apps.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs connecting apps, data sources, and third-party platforms.
• Write clean, well-tested code across the full stack and own features end-to-end.
• Collaborate on code reviews and uphold engineering standards for quality and performance.
• Lead technical direction with the Director of Engineering and shape roadmaps.
