Job summary

KIBO Laboratories LLC is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to build critical software that connects the national customs system and port-community data, including internal tools and data flows between field, analysis, and government interfaces.

The role involves planning software solutions for use by customs authorities, establishing architecture for a digital single-window platform, and ensuring production-grade quality with secure data handling and robust testing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining full-stack applications with modern JS/TS frontend and a mainstream backend stack.
• Proven experience designing integrations with external systems, APIs, data feeds, or legacy platforms.
• Strong database and data-modeling skills, including schema design and data validation.
• Strong secure software development practices: authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging.
• Experience delivering production-ready apps with testing, docs, environment management, version control, deployment, monitoring.
• Ability to translate business/data requirements from non-technical stakeholders into working software.
• Experience designing for offline-first, resilient connectivity.
• Collaborate with data science, operations, and field teams to ensure reliable production software.

Responsibilities

• Customs-system integration design and build interfaces to ASYCUDA/SYDONIA and port-community data sources.
• Develop software solutions and internal tools, including external data-source integrations and reporting interfaces.
• Plan and scope software solutions for customs authorities and shape the toolroadmap for the AGD.
• Implement secure data flows with access controls and logging.
• Set architectural groundwork for a digital single-window platform with e-declarations and e-payment features.
• Own code quality, testing, environments, and documentation; work with data science to ensure production reliability.
