Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable web applications, leveraging React on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, and AWS cloud services. The role emphasizes external-facing websites and cloud-native solutions with a strong focus on security and DevSecOps.

Hybrid work arrangement (Onsite 4 days per week) in Newport Beach, with additional locations such as Charlotte and Omaha as noted.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Proven experience developing and supporting external websites and customer-facing applications.
• Strong frontend experience with React or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and serverless computing.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and SOAP, RESTful, and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar work management and development platforms.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end software solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality applications.
• Own feature development through the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Identify and resolve performance, security, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Develop and maintain APIs and cloud-native applications using modern engineering practices.
