Job summary

Capital One is seeking Full-stack Software Engineers who are passionate about building scalable cloud-native systems and solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll lead teams across microservices, mentor colleagues, and deliver robust, cloud-based solutions for millions of customers.

You will work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience (internships not counted).
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower users.
• Utilize Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and databases across AWS tools and services.
• Provide technical leadership shaping architecture and long-term direction.
• Drive end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale, cloud-native systems.
