Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deploy secure software solutions within a Platform and Technology product operating model. You will integrate security and automation across the SDLC, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native delivery, and infrastructure as code.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in Java, JavaScript, or Python, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform expertise, and strong collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure production-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in technology, full stack development, platform engineering, or cloud integration.
• 3+ years hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience (API design, integration development, platform administration).
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python with backend service development and integration.
• Proficiency in DataWeave, RAML, and OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines) and IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and SOA.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure Monitor.
• Strong scripting and automation with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
• Experience with Docker and orchestration in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience incorporating AI coding assistants or automation tools to enhance developer productivity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on reliability and process orientation.
