Job summary

Region 4 Education Service Center is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer in Houston to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using C#/.NET and React TypeScript in a microservices architecture. The role emphasizes API design, cloud migration, and secure coding practices.

The candidate will work across backend and frontend layers, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services such as RDS and Lambda to deliver robust, high-performing applications that meet business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology (preferred).
• 7 years of professional experience in full stack development with C#/.NET and React TypeScript.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, including design patterns and inter-service communication.
• Hands-on containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including RDS and Lambda.
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience leading cloud migration projects and strategies.
• Experience with complex data migration methodologies and tools.
• Strong grasp of security principles including OWASP, secure coding practices, and data protection.
• Experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# and .NET frameworks within a microservices architecture.
• Architect and implement scalable microservices solutions with proper service boundaries and communication patterns.
• Build and optimize database solutions using SnowFlake, MongoDB, and AWS RDS.
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
• Develop serverless functions using AWS Lambda for scalable backend operations and integrate with React TypeScript frontends.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines for data processing and transformation.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, transitioning legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure.
• Plan and execute complex data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, API security, and container security.
• Optimize database queries and API performance for high-traffic, distributed applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain React TypeScript frontends, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs.
