Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer to own end-to-end software solutions for mission-critical applications supporting Starship, Starlink, and manufacturing software.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems and prototype architectures that meet tight cadences. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of full-stack development, strong OO languages, and production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern front-end frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline and 5+ years of professional experience in software development; OR 7+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree
• 3+ years of professional experience in full stack development
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
• Strong understanding of designing software systems and testing
• Experience with build systems and package management tools
• Experience with UNIX-like OS and data processing at scale

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX
• Create new applications that improve SpaceX operations
• Build prototypes to validate key design concepts
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Dive into users’ problems to craft efficient solutions
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews
