Job summary

Peraton seeks a seasoned Full-Stack Engineer for its Federal Strategic Cyber program. You will build modern frontend applications with Angular/TypeScript while collaborating across backend teams. The role emphasizes performance, scalable UI components, and evolving interfaces to support national security missions.

Hybrid Arlington, VA location with on-site presence as needed. Strong frontend expertise, API integration, and access to cross-functional programs are required, along with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of software engineering experience (or 12+ years without a degree).
• Strong, demonstrable expertise in frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and modern web frameworks.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and frontend build tooling (e.g., NPM, or similar).
• Hands-on experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of Java or Python for occasional backend tasking and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, and Git.
• Familiarity with cloud services and emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts as they apply to web application development.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks as the primary focus of your work.
• Lead the development of custom web applications with polished, performant user interfaces that evolve with mission needs.
• Architect and implement scalable frontend solutions, including component libraries, state management, and responsive design patterns.
• Support the integration of emerging technologies, including AI-driven interfaces and advanced analytics dashboards surfaced through the frontend.
• Collaborate with backend teams on API contracts and integration points, with occasional hands-on work in Java or NodeJS as mission needs arise.
• Solve complex challenges involving cross-browser compatibility, frontend performance optimization, and multi-environment deployments.
• Work in an Agile environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and collaborating across teams.
• Troubleshoot UI/UX issues, enhance application performance, and produce clear technical documentation.
