Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Digital Engineering team. You will own the in-house software that serves as the system of record for product, manufacturing, and operations data, guiding architecture, scale, security, and observability.

You will mentor engineers, design integrations, and push for AI-driven acceleration in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid/onsite work in Denver or Long Beach is expected, with equity and comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building user-facing web applications end to end (TypeScript/React).
• Deep experience with API design and event-driven architectures.
• Strong domain data modeling for complex, versioned records.
• Experience building observability, auditability, and data quality in production.
• Cloud/infrastructure fluency (AWS) and fundamentals in networking/security/CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python.
• Track record of guiding multiple services or teams and mentoring others.
• U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design the domain data models and workflows for in-house systems of record with lifecycle states and end-to-end traceability.
• Architect services, APIs, integrations, and event-driven data flows connecting applications and tools.
• Own network, infrastructure, and security design including RBAC and export controls.
