Austinworks is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to help build and expand its proprietary investment platform powering portfolio monitoring, financial analysis, valuations, and investor reporting across dozens of portfolio companies.

Join a small, autonomous team and work with investment and finance professionals to deliver production software across the entire stack, from database design to AI-powered workflows, with hybrid or remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack roles.
• Experience building software for venture capital, private equity, or fund operations.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript.
• Ownership mindset with ability to work independently in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Python, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript.
• Design scalable data models for valuations, ownership structures, and fund reporting.
• Automate financial data ingestion, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
• Develop AI-powered internal tools leveraging LLMs and retrieval systems.
• Collaborate with investment, finance, and investor relations to translate needs into software.
• Own features end to end, including architecture, deployment, and maintenance.
