Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a skilled frontend/backend engineer in Westford, MA to modernize front end applications for a broad user base and to build robust Java-based microservices and data pipelines. You will work with Kafka streams, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes, coordinating with hardware teams to align UI/UX with data requirements.

The role emphasizes scalable, observable architectures and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Expertise in designing, building, and debugging distributed Java stack applications, infrastructure and microservices.
• Deep understanding of Apache Kafka and building applications with Kafka Streams or Flink.
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts, concurrency, data structures, and algorithms.
• Deep understanding of Redis as a scalable data caching solution.
• Excellent planning, presentation, and communication skills.
• BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; MS degree with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Front end application modernization to serve a large and diverse customer base with complex concerns.
• Participate in the full life-cycle of tool development, end-to-end environment troubleshooting, test, and deployment of Java stack web applications.
• Build microservices and AI agents that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
• Develop and optimize real-time data processing pipelines using Kafka Streams, Apache Flink and Spark Streaming, ensuring high throughput, reliability, and low-latency performance.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineering and chip verification teams to understand data and UI/UX requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Establish best practices for streaming data architecture, schema management, data retention and platform observability (monitoring, logging, tracing).
