Job summary

Recurly is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build our marketing and customer engagement platform. You’ll own features end-to-end using Ruby on Rails on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend, delivering data-driven, real-time personalization and campaign capabilities.

You’ll mentor peers, contribute to architecture, and explore AI-assisted development to enhance product features. This hybrid role is based out of our Broomfield, Colorado office with opportunities to influence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack scope.
• Solid Rails experience including ActiveRecord, background jobs, and APIs.
• Strong JavaScript, SPA architecture, and frontend performance skills.
• Experience delivering complex features end-to-end.
• RESTful API design with versioning, auth, and third-party integrations.
• Solid DB fundamentals, MySQL or similar, with schema design and optimization.
• Mentoring junior or mid-level engineers and promoting engineering excellence.
• Familiarity with marketing or customer engagement platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: design and build robust and scalable systems on Rails and Vue.js.
• Technical Contribution: contribute to architecture and design discussions for platform initiatives.
• Mentorship: support growth of junior engineers through reviews and feedback.
• Performance & Quality: improve backend and frontend performance and code quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success.
• AI-Augmented Development: leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery and add value.
• Agile Delivery: operate in iterative, fast-paced environment with frequent shipping.
• Incident Response: help resolve production incidents and conduct post-incident reviews.
