Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Tampa to design and implement frontend features for care teams and patients. You will translate AI capabilities into intuitive interfaces while delivering robust full-stack solutions with server rendering and API integration.

You will work within a design-system driven workflow, ensure WCAG accessibility, and handle sensitive healthcare data in compliance with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering with strong frontend depth.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on Next.js with App Router, SSR/SSG, and server components.
• Ability to build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs and deliver full-stack features.
• Strong UX quality and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Understanding of sensitive data handling in frontend contexts.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and LLM coding harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Frontend feature development using TypeScript, React, Next.js for care teams and patients.
• AI output rendering: translate AI capabilities into intuitive UI patterns.
• Full-stack delivery: SSR/SSG, API integration, and client-side state management.
• Contribute to shared component libraries and design system.
• Ensure WCAG accessibility and health-literacy considerations.
• Collaborate in code reviews, architecture discussions with engineers and PMs.
