Job summary

Edwin is building the modern financial operating system for local governments, bringing together banking, investing, spend management and automated workflows into a single source of truth. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will design, build, and operate core features of the Edwin platform across the stack.

This is a hands-on role with room to grow into broader technical ownership, reporting directly to the CTO.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with senior-level responsibility.
• Experience shipping AI-enabled products and distributed systems.
• Fluency in TypeScript and Node.js; strong React ecosystem knowledge.
• Proven ability to build secure, reliable systems from inception to production.
• Bonus: public sector, govtech, or regulated fintech experience; ERP knowledge including banking and ledger systems.

Cities, counties, and special districts manage trillions of dollars using fragmented bank portals, legacy systems, and manual spreadsheets. We are replacing that infrastructure with an AI-powered platform that integrates banking, investing, spend management, and automated workflows into a single source of truth.

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will design, build, and operate core features of the Edwin platform across the stack.

This is a hands-on role with room to grow into broader technical ownership, reporting directly to the CTO.

Responsibilities

• Ship full-stack features, producing high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code

• Design and build for reliability, security, correctness, and performance

• Partner with product to shape requirements and develop detailed technical plans

• Contribute to system architecture, security, SOC 2 compliance, monitoring, and operational efficiency

• Participate in continuous delivery, observability, and incident response

• Mentor teammates, and raise the bar through pairing, design feedback, and code review

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering role

• Experience shipping AI-enabled products and distributed systems

• Fluency in TypeScript and Node

• Strong frontend depth with React and the React ecosystem

• Track record of building secure, reliable systems from inception to production

Bonus Qualifications

• Public sector, govtech, or regulated fintech experience

• Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems, including banking, fund management, general ledger, and month-end close

Pay and Benefits

• Annual base salary range of $160,000-$195,000, dependant on experience and demonstrated scope of impact
