Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is building a next-generation API Review Agent platform and developer tooling ecosystem. Engineers will design production-grade CLI tools using Golang and TypeScript, creating command-line experiences for API governance, review automation, developer workflows, and platform operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Golang and TypeScript/Node.js CLI development.
• Experience packaging and distributing software (Homebrew, npm, binaries).
• Strong telemetry and observability experience with OpenTelemetry.
• CI/CD automation and release engineering experience.
• Familiarity with API design, OpenAPI, and developer UX.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Build production-grade CLI tools using Golang and/or TypeScript.

• Distribution Strategy: Design and implement software distribution strategies across macOS, Linux, and Windows.

• Telemetry & Analytics: Implement telemetry frameworks that measure adoption, usage patterns, performance, reliability, and feature engagement, ensuring strict adherence to privacy, compliance, and enterprise governance requirements.
• Core Integrations: Develop authentication, configuration, and credential-management capabilities, and build integrations with GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD systems, IDEs, and developer portals.
• Documentation & Onboarding: Create excellent documentation, tutorials, examples, and developer onboarding experiences.
• Engineering Leadership: Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and platform-wide engineering initiatives to drive reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability across the tooling ecosystem.

Requirements

• Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Golang and TypeScript/Node.js CLI Experience
• Packaging & Distribution: Deep understanding of software packaging and distribution technologies (Homebrew, npm, standalone binaries, installers, containers, etc.)
• Instrumentation & Observability: Experience implementing telemetry, analytics, and usage instrumentation within developer tools, with a strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, metrics collection, logging, and observability best practices
• Release Automation: Experience with release engineering, CI/CD automation, and artifact management
• API Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of API design, OpenAPI specifications, and developer experience principles
• Ecosystem Building: Experience building SDKs, plugins, extensions, or developer productivity platforms
• Security & Auth: Knowledge of authentication mechanisms including OAuth, API keys, and enterprise SSO integrations
• Cloud & Systems: Experience working with cloud-native and distributed systems
• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and drive technical decisions
