- Working knowledge of event-driven and asynchronous integration using Kafka or comparable messaging platforms such as JMS or RabbitMQ.
- Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, and data access frameworks such as JPA or Hibernate, including query performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Own assigned workstreams independently from design through production support, including production triage.
- Collaborate across product, engineering, testing, and operations teams, and mentor less-experienced team members where appropriate.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of
- data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience with JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and web services.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Jasmine.
- Experience with cloud development and production triage.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience with the following technologies
- Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP web services
- Microservices architectures, API gateways, and service mesh
- Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, Solace, and event-driven integration patterns
- SQL and NoSQL databases, and data access frameworks such as JPA or Hibernate
- Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and secure coding standards
- Splunk, Datadog, and Dynatrace for observability and production triage
- Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- JUnit, Mockito, and Jasmine testing frameworks
