Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Sr. Full-Stack Developer with Drupal and open-source platforms to shape, support, and scale collaboration software for a critical government information system.

This hybrid role requires active TS/SCI CI Poly and can be based in Reston, VA, Washington, DC, or Annapolis Junction, MD. The candidate will shape a Drupal-based platform, support deployments, and influence architecture.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
• 9+ years in software or systems engineering or related field.
• Experience developing PHP-based web applications with Drupal or similar open-source CMS.
• Frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React/Vue/Angular.
• Secure, reliable web apps on Linux servers.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of Git workflows, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of web accessibility and UI/UX design.
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape a collaboration platform based on Drupal and open-source software.
• Support and scale multiple deployments of the system.
• Influence architecture based on user feedback and requirements.
• Develop PHP-based web applications.
• Build secure, reliable web apps on Linux servers.
• Develop frontend features using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks (Vue/Angular/React).
• Engage with user community and leadership to learn impact.
• Capture and validate requirements; demonstrate features to stakeholders.
• Improve development environment, pipelines, and test automation.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams; provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Apply SRE practices; implement Git workflows, CI, and DevOps.
