Visual Soft, Inc is seeking a Senior Full Stack (Java/JEE and Angular) Developer to join our team on a classified federal project in Huntsville, AL. An active Top Secret clearance is a MUST and the role is fully onsite.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain Java applications in the cloud (AWS preferred), migrate from on‑prem to cloud, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring on‑time, on-budget delivery. Extensive experience with Java, JEE, Angular, REST/SOAP, and AWS is required.

Qualifications

• Over 12+ years of software development experience.
• BS degree required; active TS clearance preferred.
• Proven Java/JEE and Angular experience in cloud environments.
• Experience leading junior developers and mentoring teammates.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java software applications in the Cloud (AWS preferred) using Agile methodologies.
• Migrate applications from on‑prem to a cloud environment and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver technically sound solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior team members to achieve project goals and timelines.

Position: Senior Full Stack (Java Stack) Developer - MUST have an active Top SECRET - work fully ONSITE

Location: on our project with a Prime for a classified federal agency, Huntsville, AL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop and maintain Java software applications in the Cloud (AWS preferred) using Agile software development techniques


• Support software application migration from an on-premise data center to a cloud environment


• Consult with the business process owners, customers, users and constituents to develop and analyze customer requirements


• Collaborate with members of project teams to ensure successful, technically sound projects which are completed on time and on budget


• Lead and mentor more junior members of the team in the performance of project tasks


• Perform application testing


• Create and maintain application documentation


• Overall 12+ years of experience with BS degree

DESIRED Experience and Qualifications:

• Agile development experience


• Application Server Experience with Agile development
