Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Newport Beach, CA to design and deliver cutting-edge web solutions enhancing Customer Journey. You will join a team of five in the CMD division, owning features from concept to deployment and collaborating across disciplines.

Required: 5+ years in software development with 2+ years as a full-stack engineer, proficiency in Angular/React/TypeScript, Java/Node.js, and AWS, plus microservices and API design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with minimum 2 years as Full Stack Engineer.
  • Proven experience building web applications using Angular/React/TypeScript.
  • Strong server-side skills in Java and Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services and serverless computing.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar work-management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and build high-quality software.
  • Own end-to-end feature development from concept to deployment.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
