Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications with significant hands-on backend responsibilities.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, including 5+ years using Spring Boot to design and build production-grade microservices.
• 5+ years of experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, service integration, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade microservices and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and service integrations; implement GraphQL where appropriate.
• Architect and implement microservices solutions using distributed systems principles and best practices.
• Develop automation, scripting, and platform utilities using Python to enhance engineering productivity.
• Implement and maintain application frameworks for logging, exception handling, auditing, policy enforcement, authentication, and authorization.
• Design and configure CI/CD pipelines and release automation using enterprise DevOps tooling.
• Deploy, configure, scale, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design cloud-native architectures and implement scalability, availability, and security patterns on AWS and/or Azure.
• Establish and maintain production observability and monitoring using industry-standard monitoring platforms.
• Support production applications through incident resolution, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and reliability improvements.
