Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on AI/LLM projects.
• Recent, hands-on experience building AI/LLM-powered applications or AI agents.
• Strong experience with Node.js backend development and Vue.js frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph for agent design.
• Experience with RAG and LLM application development.
• Understanding of MLOps and deploying AI solutions.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Cloud platform experience, with Azure preferred.
• Strong fundamentals: code review, validation, debugging, testing AI-generated code.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer to help design and build AI-powered applications and agentic workflows across a variety of strategic projects. This role will combine full-stack software development, API integration, and hands‑on AI engineering to build intelligent agents on top of custom applications. The ideal candidate has recent, hands‑on experience building AI agents and LLM‑powered applications, with a strong understanding of LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, LLMs, and MLOps. Experience developing workflows in Python is a plus. This is a highly hands‑on development role. Engineers will leverage AI-assisted coding tools extensively, while using their software engineering expertise to review, validate, test, and refine AI-generated code. Third‑party vendors may submit candidates for this role. Candidates who require H‑1B visa sponsorship will be considered.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI agents into custom business applications
• Build and maintain the pipelines and workflows that enable AI agents to operate effectively
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Build and enhance frontend applications using Vue.js
• Design agentic workflows using LangChain and LangGraph
• Develop and implement RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) solutions
• Integrate LLM capabilities into existing applications and business processes
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and cloud‑based AI solutions
• Leverage Microsoft Azure to support AI agent workflows and related cloud services
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Use AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate coding while independently validating, testing, debugging, and improving generated code
• Support API integrations and connections between enterprise applications and AI services
• Contribute to MLOps practices and the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI‑powered applications
• Help establish reusable frameworks and patterns for building and deploying AI agents across multiple projects

Required Skills/Experience (Must‑Haves)

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with approximately 7 years preferred
• Recent, hands‑on experience building AI/LLM‑powered applications or AI agents
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend development
• Strong experience with Vue.js or comparable modern frontend frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph
• Experience with RAG and LLM application development
• Understanding of MLOps and deploying/operating AI solutions
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and other application integrations
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience working with cloud platforms; Azure experience is preferred
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including the ability to review, validate, debug, and test code generated with AI‑assisted development tools
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Work Environment

Location: 100% Remote

Preferred Time Zone: CST preferred; open to EST/PST

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $49.00 and $70.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
