Shield AI is seeking a Staff Fuel System Engineer to lead the fuel system design for a next‑generation autonomous aircraft. You will own requirements, architecture, interfaces, hardware decisions from concept through deployment, and work across propulsion, vehicle teams, suppliers, and flight operations.

Qualifications

• Owns requirements, architecture, interfaces, hardware decisions from concept through deployment.
• Design, size, and integrate fuel tanks, pumps, valves, plumbing, venting and sensing.
• Analyze fuel system performance across operating envelope and thermal effects.
• Lead design reviews, supplier engagements, and hardware procurement.
• Plan and execute component and vehicle-level testing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and flight readiness.
• Analyze ground and flight data to validate performance and drive improvements.
• Lead failure investigations to develop corrective actions.
