Airwallex is seeking a senior frontend engineer with 6+ years of experience to own and deliver scalable web interfaces. You’ll work in SF, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to build real-time expense and payment experiences using React/TypeScript and modern tooling.

You’ll contribute to design systems, performance optimizations, and a domain-based micro frontend architecture, while raising standards through testing, docs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of professional frontend software development experience.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, and modern web development practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and improving frontend performance.
• A track record of writing well-tested, maintainable code and contributing to technical documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design.

How you'll make impact

You'll build and improve frontend experiences that simplify expense management for businesses, from real-time expense tracking and automated receipt capture to approvals and integrations.

• Build maintainable, scalable web interfaces using React and TypeScript, contributing to a domain-based Micro Frontend architecture.

• Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to clarify requirements, iterate quickly, and deliver high-quality experiences in production.

• Integrate frontend applications with backend services through Apollo GraphQL and a Backend-for-Frontend layer, while contributing to shared UI components and the team's design system.

You’ll work from our San Francisco office three days a week.

What we're looking for

Essentials

• 6+ years of professional frontend software development experience.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, and modern web development practices.

• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and improving frontend performance.

Preferred

• Experience with GraphQL, design systems, or Micro Frontend architecture.

• Exposure to CI/CD, monitoring, and frontend observability tools.

• An interest in product development and a user-centric mindset.
