Job summary

Squads is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a high-caliber team at the intersection of design and engineering. You will own development of intuitive, performant web apps on Squads Protocol and collaborate across product, design, and engineering to shape user experiences from ideation to production.

This role offers autonomy in a fast-moving Web3 environment with opportunities to mentor others and advance frontend architecture and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building high-performance, visually refined web applications with strong browser fundamentals.
• Excellent knowledge of React, TypeScript and modern frontend development practices.
• User-first mindset with a focus on intuitive, accessible interfaces.
• Experience with REST APIs, gRPC and WebSocket APIs, and frontend-backend collaboration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving Web3 environment.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly implement functional, responsive UI components from designs with emphasis on performance and accessibility.
• Lead frontend architecture and help evolve design system.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship features end-to-end.
• Maintain and improve codebase with scalable, documented, and tested code.
• Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
