Job summary

MARKETTIME, LLC is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to advance our ecommerce SaaS platform. You will work on existing Angular apps today and influence the frontend roadmap toward a unified React-based platform for desktop, tablet, and mobile, including offline-enabled experiences.

You will collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to simplify complex B2B workflows, mentor peers, and uphold PCI DSS and security standards while delivering high-performance user interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience on production frontend applications as a senior engineer or tech lead.
• Strong React ecosystem experience (hooks, components, context, data fetching).
• Proficient in TypeScript and its type system.
• Knowledge of Angular or ability to ramp quickly in an existing codebase.
• Built responsive UIs across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with modern frontend testing tools (Vitest/Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).
• Familiar with AI coding tools and prudent use in professional work.
• Experience with build tools (Vite, webpack) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Solid web security knowledge (XSS, CSRF, CSP, token handling).
• Excellent communication and collaboration; track record mentoring engineers.
• Remote-first work ethos.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web applications for buyers, sales reps, and brands.
• Define architecture for the frontend platform, including components, state, routing, APIs, and tooling.
• Explore cross-platform approaches (PWA, React Native/Expo) for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Build offline-capable, resilient experiences for intermittent connectivity.
• Create and maintain a reusable, accessible component library and design system.
• Maintain Angular apps and lead migration toward React or similar tech.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design REST/GraphQL APIs for frontend needs.
• Ensure frontend code meets PCI DSS and security requirements.
• Own frontend performance metrics like Core Web Vitals.
• Champion best practices: code reviews, testing, CI/CD, observability, docs.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring security and maintainability.
• Own features from design through production and support deployments.
• Perform on-call rotation and participate in incremental PRs with reviews.
• Mentor engineers through leadership, design reviews, and pair programming.
