Job summary

Filevine is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to own core product surfaces across the Word add-in and web app. You will set UI quality standards, drive frontend architecture, and work closely with design, backend, and AI teams to deliver polished, data-heavy interfaces for legal workflows.

You will influence workflows like redlining and clause comparison and mentor engineers as the product scales.

Qualifications

• 6+ years frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building data-heavy, user-facing products.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into shipped solutions.
• Proven track record owning large product surfaces end-to-end.
• High standards for UI polish and accessibility.
• Experience working with design and product leadership.
• Bonus: Office add-ins, LLM-powered products, or legal tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex, high-impact product areas across the web app and Word add-in.
• Define and evolve the frontend architecture, component patterns, and design system.
• Own the UX for core workflows like redlining, clause comparison, and playbook creation.
• Collaborate with design to set interaction patterns, reduce cognitive load, and ship polished interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend and AI teams to integrate LLM features with stable UX.
• Mentor other engineers and help shape the engineering culture as the team scales.
• Partner with product and founders on roadmap strategy, scoping, and delivery.
