Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join the Consumer Payments team. You will own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile, delivering fast, reliable payment flows at scale.

You will mentor junior engineers, own SLOs, drive latency improvements, and partner with product, design, and backend teams to reduce customer friction. The role is remote-first with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and React Native.
• Proven track record shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in high-scale environments.
• Experience owning SLOs and driving latency and availability improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and act as a senior technical voice.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows, cost and quality.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile.
• Drive measurable improvements in CUJ latency, availability, and SLOs for the payment flows.
• Build new user-facing features such as contact management and real-time status trackers.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce CX contact rates.
• Identify frontend performance bottlenecks and reduce end-to-end latency for millions of users.
