UCTalent seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to anchor our Marketplace web rewrite, rebuilding high-traffic journeys & setting frontend patterns for the next 5 years. Expect ~75% of pages updated this year with an aggressive roadmap including international expansion and new AI/Hotel SaaS initiatives.

Senior role with Staff-leaning scope, potential to become Tech Lead for major features, and cross-team influence across Marketplace Core, Growth, and Hotels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production web applications.
• Deep React expertise and Next.js SSR/SPA hybrids.
• Led rewrites or migrations of high-traffic surfaces with measurable results.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to lead ambiguous projects.
• High engineering bar: testing discipline, observability mindset, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Own major initiatives end-to-end across highest-traffic surfaces (SRP, DLP).
• Lead technical design for large changes (RFCs/design docs) and align with Product/Design.
• Define reusable patterns in Next.js App Router codebase (routing, data fetching, caching, architecture).
• Raise quality bar through standards, reviews, and mentorship for a junior-leaning team.
• Shape tooling and practices (Playwright testing, Datadog observability, CI hygiene).
• Partner with backend engineers on API contracts for frontend performance.
