Job summary

UCTalent is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to consolidate pricing/inventory logic and own API contracts across marketplaces.

You’ll lead end-to-end feature work across frontend and backend, shaping architecture and mentoring engineers as you partner with product and design.

The role offers growth toward staff-level ownership with exposure to multiple domains and potential equity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production web/mobile applications.
• Experience with Rails and React in production codebases.

• End-to-end ownership from UI through API and rollout.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack features across key marketplace flows (SRP, details, booking, account) with measurable impact on conversion, performance, reliability.
• Ship end-to-end: UI + API + data model + instrumentation + rollout + iteration.
• Contribute to pragmatic patterns in Next.js App Router codebase.
• Partner with backend on API contracts (filtering, pagination, performance budgets, versioning).
• Improve quality through testing/observability (Playwright, Datadog) and code reviews.
• Partner with Product/Design to translate complex system states into clear UX.
• Strengthen operational readiness (dashboards, alerts, tracing, runbooks).

We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer to rebuild our highest-traffic customer journeys: Search -> Details -> Booking -> Post-booking. Today, too much business logic lives in the frontend and in scattered places - pricing and inventory logic is fragmented with real concern changes can \"break everything.\" This role exists to fix that: consolidating pricing/inventory logic into a coherent backend domain and establishing API contracts so teams ship without fear.Senior role with Staff-leaning scope and clear growth path into Staff-level ownership over core domains (pricing, inventory, search). You'll be a code owner: setting direction, mentoring engineers, making key architectural decisions. Key partner to the Head of Engineering, influencing 5 teams (Marketplace Consumer/Growth, Hotels, Data, Platform).Marketplace Core is taking on full API rewrites and Hotels is integrating with multiple spa vendors. The broader roadmap includes international expansion (Mexico & Caribbean this year, Europe next), in-housing search from Algolia, and Spa as a major new vertical. We want a front-end-leaning product engineer who contributes across teams from day one, owning features end-to-end.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years building production web/mobile applications (or equivalent impact).
• Comfortable across frontend + backend: can navigate a Rails codebase and ship React changes.
• Experience building APIs and working with databases (schema design, query performance).
• End-to-end ownership: ships features from UI through API, data model, instrumentation, and rollout
