Job summary

Navan is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Flights group) to help build and scale Navan’s flagship flight platform. You will tackle high-scale frontend challenges, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to ship impactful features for global travelers.

You will own end-to-end experiences, drive architectural decisions for scale, and champion excellence in performance and observability.

Qualifications

• Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to drive technical change and motivate engineers.
• Deep Experience: 5+ years of UI/frontend development in high-growth, agile environments.
• System-Level Thinking: Experience with large-scale frontend systems and architectural improvements.
• Collaborative Spirit: Low-ego, high-impact problem solving; communicates with diverse stakeholders.
• Technical Mastery: Expert in JavaScript and TypeScript; proficient in React and Angular.

Responsibilities

• Own the End-to-End Experience: Drive complex features from inception to launch with product/design partners.
• Architect for Scale: Lead frontend architecture and translate business needs into scalable technical frameworks.
• Champion Operational Excellence: Define frontend reliability, performance, and observability practices (APM).
• Supercharge Developer Velocity: Improve DX with internal frameworks and pipelines to speed shipping.
• Mentor and Elevate: Provide code reviews and mentoring on best practices and design patterns.
• Bridge the Stack: Contribute cross-stack improvements with backend/system awareness.
