Job summary

Wayflyer is hiring a senior frontend engineer to lead architectural decisions and champion frontend best practices. You will design and implement complex features using TypeScript and React, ensuring scalable components across our fintech products.

You will partner with product and design to shape intuitive experiences for e-commerce brands, own end-to-end delivery, and drive performance, accessibility, and UX improvements while mentoring peers and collaborating across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience with frontend development.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and extensive experience with React.
• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript with performance focus.
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and managing complex state, incl. TanStack Query.
• Experience contributing to and working with design systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions and frontend standards across the team.
• Lead design and implementation of complex frontend features using TypeScript and React for scalable products.
• Collaborate with product and design to shape intuitive experiences for e-commerce brands.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design through testing to production and iteration.
• Drive improvements in performance, accessibility and user experience across the platform.
• Mentor engineers and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality.
