Job summary

Scribe, based in San Francisco, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own a product area end-to-end—from design through post-launch results. You'll join one of four teams and collaborate with PMs, designers and other engineers to decide what to build and how.

You should have 5+ years building production software at scale, deep JavaScript experience with a modern frontend framework, and a track record of frontend performance and accessibility improvements. Equity included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software at scale
• Deep JavaScript experience with a modern frontend framework
• Track record improving frontend performance and accessibility
• Comfortable with unclear problems and fast change
• Nice to have: AI/LLM product experience, startup experience

Responsibilities

• Own projects from design to launch, on established products and new ones
• Work with PMs, designers and other engineers to decide what to build and how
• Contribute to technical discussions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architecture
• Uphold strong engineering practices: code review, test coverage and observability
• Build fast, accessible UI and own frontend performance
• Work with designers to turn early ideas into shipped products
