Job summary

Lyntris is a defense technology company delivering cloud-based command and control software, integrating hardware and software for DoD missions. We seek a Senior Front End Developer to join balanced agile teams, writing high-quality React code and prototyping features for secure, mission-critical interfaces.

The role requires collaboration with customers, iterative development, and strong UI/UX execution, with a hybrid setup based in Tacoma, WA and a U.S. national security clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional front end/UI development experience (5+ with a STEM B.S.).
• 5+ years of React experience; other JavaScript frameworks are a plus.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS; strong UI/UX focus.
• Solid understanding of architecture, async programming, closures, types, ES6.
• Experience with WebGL libraries (ThreeJS, Deck.gl, Mapbox GL JS).
• CSS-in-JS experience (Styled Components or Emotion).
• Version control with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Experience with Jest, Rollup or Webpack; emphasis on testable code.
• US Citizen with active Secret/Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operators to gather feedback and ideate solutions.
• Prototype modifications to React-based web applications rapidly.
• Contribute to reusable component libraries and shared codebase.
• Write high-quality, standards-compliant code with best practices.
• Participate in full SDLC using an agile, iterative process.
• Lead code reviews and ensure robust testing strategies.
• Coordinate with developers, designers, testers, PMs, and sponsors.
• Regularly communicate tasking estimates and progress to leads/POs.
