Job description

My client is a Series-A start-up building a healthcare interoperability platform that is the connective tissue between patients, their health records, and the AI powered applications modernizing how care is delivered. We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to build elegant & intuitive consumer healthcare products. You'll own major surfaces of our application end to end.

The ideal candidate has a strong command of React and TypeScript, a sharp eye for polished UI, and a track record of building performant, accessible, production-ready web applications. You should be just as comfortable partnering with designers to get interactions and details exactly right as you are making sound frontend architecture calls — from component design and state management to data fetching, performance tuning, and testing.

Role Responsibilities

• Expert in a the modern FE stack (React + Next.js, etc.)
• Deep experience with Design and UX ownership: detail oriented, shaping interaction patterns with an emphasis on visual clarity.
• Proven ability to build & ship code with the system in mind (i.e. building component libraries/design systems that scale across products)
• Product engineering experience is key – you are someone who has built and scaled products. You are comfortable making pragmatic, product first decisions, communicate risk, etc.
• Performance & quality: Expert Core Web engineering Vitals focused on accessibility, testing, and error handling.

Technical Qualifications

• B.S.+ in Computer Science or similar technical field
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally using a modern FE stack
• Proven experience in building 0→1 web software and APIs
• Familiarity integrating with backend APIs and working with authentication, data caching, and state management solutions.
