Our clients include video game publishers such as Electronic Arts, Epic Games and Krafton.

About the Role!

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Automation Engineer (SDET) who will work closely with our established SDET team to build and maintain robust, scalable UI test coverage using modern frameworks.

You will be working in an engineering-oriented fast-paced environment, with minimal management and detailed task definition. You need to be a self-starter and excel at making your own decisions and organizing your work according to the declared goals.

This is a remote position (PST or EST)

You will

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test cases using a modern frontend testing framework (Playwright preferred).
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to define and validate test scenarios that ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Integrate UI tests into our CI/CD pipeline for continuous feedback and faster deployments.

  • Investigate and triage test failures; isolate and report defects clearly and effectively.

You have

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an SDET or in a similar role focused on software quality assurance.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with modern frontend automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar (excluding Selenium).
  • Design and develop automation test plans for new features from scratch.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with full-stack automation (API, backend, database).
  • Familiarity with test architecture, framework development, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools or methodologies.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with the Unreal Engine and its ecosystem.
  • Understanding of security testing principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile or cross-functional product development environments.
