Job summary

Nexaminds is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive visual modernization for an existing application with a Vue frontend and PHP backend. You will transform legacy jQuery into modern, component‑based Vue while preserving behavior.

The role emphasizes hands‑on coding, architecture thinking, and using AI‑assisted tooling to accelerate delivery across a live product. Remote‑friendly, senior‑level opportunity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of web app development experience.
• 3+ years building cloud‑native apps.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar legacy codebases and walk through examples.
• Independent researcher and problem solver.
• Strong Vue 3 expertise and component libraries.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS architecture, responsive and accessible design.
• RESTful API consumption and clean backend integration.
• Experience with Azure and SOLID principles.
• Front‑end testing (unit/integration).

Responsibilities

• Refresh and elevate the UI within a Vue + PHP app, modernizing legacy jQuery pages.
• Deliver modern, responsive, accessible UI improvements with a focus on performance.
• Establish and elevate front‑end quality across the team (components, state, CSS).
• Perform code reviews to enforce standards and patterns.
• Collaborate with product management and UX to translate goals into scalable solutions.
• Identify and fix UI performance bottlenecks (load times, rendering, resource use).
• Integrate with backend services via RESTful APIs.
• Lead by example through code reviews, pairing, and mentorship.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools as a core workflow to boost velocity and quality.
