Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for the FortiWeb team to develop and maintain the web-based management interface of our WAF solution. Expect leadership in migration to Angular/React, modern tooling, and enterprise design systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Angular (v14+) / React and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale application modernization projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration from legacy frameworks to modern Angular 21+ and React 18+.
• Design and implement micro-frontend architecture for multiple sub-applications.
• Build scalable state management with RxJS and MobX/Redux.
• Establish frontend architecture patterns and best practices for the team.
• Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts and integration patterns.
• Work with UX/UI teams to implement enterprise design systems.
• Partner with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and guidance.
