Warner Bros. Discovery in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (front-end leaning) to join the CNN Engagement Web team.

You will design and deliver high‑quality features that power global news experiences, mentored by senior engineers and collaborating with product managers and designers across teams. You will shaping architecture, implement end‑to‑end workflows, and contribute to scalable, data‑driven products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with emphasis on engineering

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related degree
• 6+ years of full-stack development and leadership experience
• 4–6 years of professional front-end development with mastery of modern JavaScript/ES6 and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud tooling
• Experience with data storage and CI/CD/infrastructure tools
• Experience using AI tools to improve development workflows

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior engineers through hands-on guidance and code reviews
• Design and implement infrastructure and validation systems for data models
• Communicate progress, risks and blockers to stakeholders
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide technical leadership
• Build and scale applications and infrastructure for CNN use cases
• Experience with Agile tools like JIRA, GitHub, and Confluence
