Job summary

Medallia is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to lead the DXA portal migration from Backbone to React/Alchemy and to architect the Node.js microservices powering the portal. You will drive architecture decisions, enforce security practices, and contribute to FedRAMP readiness.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product and design to translate complex requirements into scalable designs. This hybrid role is based near Tysons, VA, with 3 days onsite per week.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience developing, shipping, and maintaining complex, high-performance web applications.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building applications using React and its ecosystem.
• Proficient in TypeScript and modern web standards (ES6+).
• Experience with automated testing and QA using Jest or similar.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Scale: design robust web architectures and state management for the DXA portal.
• Drive Migration: lead the Backbone to React/Alchemy migration.
• Security & Compliance: align frontend with FedRAMP requirements and security standards.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: mentor engineers and review code.
• End-to-End Ownership: partner with product/design to translate requirements into scalable designs.
